Instructional Design and Instruction


Effective instruction begins with purposeful instructional design. Without instructional design (ID), lesson planning is haphazard and lessons are left to chance. Instructional design requires execution, ongoing assessment, and formal evaluation. Thoughtful design, coupled with appropriate use of select instructional methods and strategies, increase the likelihood for learning success.
