RPL Policies

RRC Policy A14 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Including Transfer of Credit (1994, revised July 2002, August 2007, June 2009, April 2018) provides the standard for RPL implementation across the College. At Red River College RPL includes transfer of credit from recognized post secondary institutions.

Policy A14 - Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Including Transfer of Credit describes the assessment of:

• Formal learning – which may be external transfer credit for courses completed at other recognized post secondary institutions or internal transfer credit for courses completed in another RRC program.
• Informal learning – acquired from work and life experiences.
• Non formal learning – acquired from courses offered externally through business, industry and other non post secondary institutions.
