Library Services

The Red River College Library strives to create and maintain strong partnerships with departments and programs. From research assistance, to library instruction, collection development, audio visual services, and open access computing, the Library aims to achieve a dynamic learning environment by integrating library services into programs and courses. Library Services provides and promotes relevant information, materials, and services to all members of the Red River College community, wherever they may be.

The Library houses a rich collection of resources both in print and electronic format including videos for streaming to the classroom. The Library has two locations in Winnipeg which provide a safe and welcoming space for individual study and small group work with in-person support at the information and help desks. Services are also provided to staff and students at Regional Campuses and other off campus locations. Audio Visual Services provides classroom support for data projectors and other AV equipment.

The Library also purchases books, journals, videos and online databases to support college programs and initiatives. Each program is assigned a collection development contact who selects items for the Library to purchase. You can contact and meet with your collection development contact to discuss purchases in your subject area, or fill in our online form. We welcome suggestions from all staff, either for a specific title, or to increase our resources in your subject or program area.
